What to expect at our first session

Chairs

There is no obligation at the first session to come back, it’s good to be open and honest as much as possible to explore what you’re looking for from the therapy.

The sessions are confidential and we can discuss what this means in the session

During the initial session we would discuss how frequently we would meet. To begin with it can be helpful to meet weekly to build up the therapeutic relationship, some continue with this frequency, others prefer to change, perhaps to fortnightly. Couples tend to work well with regular fortnightly or monthly meetings.

I believe that working with the right counsellor for you is key so if for any reason we don’t find our relationship is right for you I will be pleased to discuss referring to another counsellor or other types of therapies offered.

Fees

Individual sessions lasting 50 minutes £55

Couples therapy lasting 1 hour £75

I have a few low cost sessions available for those on a very low income.
